I haven’t shot a roll of film in years, but recently I went out and gave it a whirl using a Pentax ME Super and Kodak UltraMax film! There is something so nostalgic about the analog camera experience. I know it’s become more trendy in the recent years to shoot film and I totally see why. I’m particularly fond of the “ca-chunk” sound of the shutter and the clicky noises the lever makes when advancing the film to the next shot. There’s something so satisfying about the experience. There’s also magic in the mystery of what the images will look later once they are developed too.
I had a ball shooting through the 36 exposures, alas, when the scans/prints came back most of the shots were a fail! I definitely think the camera needs some maintenance and the internal light meter definitely wasn’t on my side for most of the pictures. But that is part of the experience! If I had infinite money, I’d shoot film all of the time for fun, but based on how much I spent… it’ll be on a “treat-yo-self” kind of basis. Perhaps I’ll do it again in a few years. Haha!
Here are a few of the other images that sorta-kinda turned out:

The photo of the lake and the birds is definitely under-exposed but I included it in this post because I think it looks cool. A bit spooky perhaps? Anyway, I won’t be tossing my digital cameras to the side, but it’s fun to mix things up now and then.
